having watched his every olympic race in 2008 & 2012... wow no kidding, i got emotional watching his final race; and how he fidgeted awkwardly at the podium, then being all weird when he put his right foot on the podium (ALL THE TIME), smiling stupidly, looking around and trying to hold back his tears every time he got on the podium... sentimental fool indeed.
this guy's amazing. not just with his 22 medals, but with his foundation and other charity work as well.

oh! and i just remembered what my coach (mr kim, for those who knows him) came up with with his last name to explain why he got 8 gold medals (beijing olympics)
