met Bud last sat for brunch at a new cafe in kovan, ate some really good sandwiches and had one of the best and most meaningful conversations with her. it's not easy to have a friend whom you can share your thoughts so deeply with, and to understand each other so well. we don't meet often, we have our own social circles in our respective lives, doing our own things. but every time we meet again, the feeling is so comfortable, and so real. sometimes they say the number of years don't matter, but i think it still does. "best friends" (quoting this because we don't use it now but had always called each other that back in pri sch lol) since we were 7, you know it's a friendship you can count on for life and pls let me be cheesy again but am also quoting a funny scene from Friends that i've watched today......

Sandy the manny in the puppet voice: "you know what kind of boat never sinks? a friend~ship~~"
Joey, amazed: "wow, you blow my mind."

lol.

there's never a need to worry about awkwardness or losing interest in the conversation, because the connection is so deep and strong. like we always say it, between us, there's no need to say/explain much, one simple look in the eye and we pretty much understand each other alr. and you just know it, another 14 years later, even if the future paths we've chosen for ourselves are almost completely different, we'll still come back together, and when it happens, we'll still be sharing our deepest thoughts and our unspoken gratitude to have each other in our life.

"hmm i'm okay, life must go on, anyway."
