The "stray bullet"

The three Bs, meaning the Bus, the Bath, and the Bed. That is where the greatest discoveries are made in science. When one is at his most relaxed, her most receptive, that is when a foreign consciousness, a "stray bullet" may pop into one's head. 

I've been having a lot of stray bullets lately.
I just googled: "Why do we think better in the shower." Hahaha yeah.

Another, "the rush of water creates a kind of 'white noise' that makes concentration easier." This one is quite cool, because I've learnt what "white noise" is. HAHA. It's a noise that has the combination of all the different frequencies of sound. Works the same as 'white light', where it consists of the different frequencies of light, or colours. And it's interesting how 'white noise' actually makes concentration better, rather than in a situation of complete silence. I mean, we would usually let the norm of a good concentration state to be in silence. Yeah.

I read around; blogs and whatnot updates, probably because '1Q84' has been a top-selling novel here, everyone seems to be reading Murakami's novels. Then they all say, "I love Murakami, he's really good." Is he? Really? What's "good"? I always thought he is a very weird man with erotic imagination. 'Weird' itself encompasses a lot.
??? Weirdly good, weirdly bad, weirdly crazy, weirdly smart, weirdly funny, weirdly sad, weirdly sexual, weirdly pure, weirdly inspiring, weirdly mind-blowing......

I think he has them all? Haha.
Okay, 'erotic imagination', I'm not too sure. But he has quite a bit of sexual references. 'Norwegian Wood' itself portrays a lot of sex, for example.

I once had a conversation with one of my managers about Murakami's style of writing when I was still working at Kinokuniya then. We both had our own description of it, but they meant to conclude that Murakami was a sick old man and his unique fanciful imagination is quite of a ridicule. Hahaha what the hell, I know.

I'm a fan of his works. I really am. And I'm not shy to say, I could never understand his writings as profoundly as he supposedly made it to be. Or maybe he hasn't? His writings always make me feel that there's more to it, like there's something else in his mind that should follow this particular sentence, but they usually just ends there.

You can understand the words, but you wish there were more words after that to explain, or at least give you more clues for imagination. But keeping it short gives you more space for imagination too. So I guess it depends on our way of thinking to understand Murakami anyway.

But Murakami is dope. Hahahaha just kidding about the slang, he is a genius.

A lot happened on the net recently, no? I did follow the Aaron Tan cum FadedHolySoldier saga and watched the videos, hahahahaha. Don't judge me. It was funny in a barbaric manner. Oh but I have to say, that New Jersey dude is a douche.

I can only say, I'm thankful I wasn't stuck in the train. When I already cannot tahan a 12-min Serangoon to Dhoby Ghaut ride stoning back at other commuters with their conscious stoned faces, resulting in developing a 'riding on trains awkwardness' syndrome, wow I don't know how to survive being stuck in a non-moving train for hours. At least on a regular, normal moving train, you can focus on the strong blowing air-con and let the noise of the wheels and engine camouflage the silent awkwardness between commuters.

YUP.

Interview at Raffles Place tomorrow morning! Whee I hope I own! I don't know if I should stick on a plaster like I've done the past few days to cover up the wound on my chin, cos at first look it looks like I didn't wipe my mouth. Actually on the second look it still looks like that. But if I stick it on.....
