prelims ended yesterday; i have tried my best.
gonna give myself a break this long weekend - catching up on my fav regular shows omgaaah, eat some good food, watch some good movies, read my book. if only i could teleport myself to shizuoka and hibernate, breathing mt fuji air.
study plans for Finals shall start next week... need to be more than ready for the papers in May. oh and skipping regime needs to resume too.
it's the month of Maaaarrrch! birthday month, favourite month hehe. oh but i'm turning 20.......... sian. i'll talk about it when i've turned 20 lol.
Jan and Feb have been quite eventful, i think?
jan:
- had the last The Run meeting! although we wasted 3/4 of our src working year planning for something that eventually could not work out..... i'm just really, really glad that the last 1/4 worked out so well and everyone had fun, no hard feelings at all :)
- volunteered at Transformers' homes refurbishment project; it was one of the most meaningful volunteer work that i've done. i had so much fun talking to the residents (yes, also an excuse to slack from doing the cleaning LOL); cleaned up their houses and seeing how amazingly happy they are, maaaaan, best feeling in the world. nothing beats helping people with your genuine kindness, and in return, you get the warmest smiles and gratefulness from them. looking forward to contributing again!!
- gangster squad!!!! actually no, it's more like, ryan gosling!!!! emma stone!!!
- turned down the exco offer.......... i think it was a sane decision. always had a leadership role throughout my school life, from primary school to junior college, so turning this down wasn't easy. i know how much i would learn from being an exco of council, how much it could (or might) benefit me in future, and to be honest, i really did wanna take up this challenge and just...go for it. why not, right? but in the end i said no, for a reason because, "i don't wanna be tied down with a responsibility." quite self-explanatory, i thought. but haa to be honest, now the reason feels kinda stupid. but i know i meant it. i would probably return to council again in my 2nd year, or join a cca... like tennis (omg so fun). i don't think i'll wanna spend my university life just attending lectures and studying... but whatever it is, studies gonna come first. i know how crazy busy i would be as an exco, so yeah, it was a sane decision. i have to thank my parents, for instilling this self discipline in their daughters. ha. sigh.
- jan ended with src appreciation dinner, aaahh it was a great evening :)
feb:
- haha and feb started with staycation at sentosa with my runners :) teehee it was an awesome 2d1n with the guys and the girls. most of us got closer after the event, yay! haha the change of our event was indeed a blessing in disguise. really enjoyed myself with them, wheeee excited for our next big outing!
- priscilla came back from shanghai yaaaaay! so proud of her, perfect gpa yo!
- ohhh, cny. i was never fond of it. now day 2 of cny becomes less exciting too, ever since the passing of my maternal grandma. meeeh. but i know these gatherings where 30+ relatives come to my house on day 1 to visit my grandma won't last long. so as much as i dislike how noisy my house will be, i will cherish these times. and i hope they will still be here 10, 15, even 20 years from now. that's not a lot to ask for, is it?
- had our own cny gathering with the girls and with the runners :)
- aaaand the rest of feb was basically dedicated to some sort of thing called 'intensive studying'.
looking forward to march because:
- gonna watch adam lambert's first full scale concert in singapore !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes that is happening tomorrow.
- and, ALSO GONNA WATCH THE SCRIPT LIVE IN SINGAPORE ON 29 MARCH HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I AM SO EXCITED YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW!!!!!!!!!!! I THINK I MAY CRY. I THINK I WILL CRY. kinda regretted not getting the standing pen tickets because at that point in time when i bought it, i wasn't quite ready to pay so much.... but now....... holy crap i should have just bought them.......... there should not have been any hesitation. but aaaah it izzz okay, as long as i get to hear and see them live !!!!!!!!
